Welcome to our BLOG page where we welcome you to enjoy years of collated information on our restoration project here.

Now run as a B&B and holiday cottage with historic tours on why we are Cragside's little neighbour with a big story to tell!

This review gives you insight into what others who have stayed here liked about staying here:

A fabulous, restful and restorative stay in a beautiful location!

The property is brilliantly situated in an area of outstanding beauty, which was very quiet, peaceful and had dark skies for star gazing. We loved the beautiful restoration of the farm buildings that have been converted into the B&B at Cragend.

We had a fabulous stay and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and the shower was enormous with a large rain head. We particularly liked our conversations with Shaun and Lou who, whilst being superb hosts, were the font of all knowledge regarding the area, offering suggestions of things to see and do.

Their farm also has a historic aspect which is connected to Cragside and they showed us the workings of the hydraulic system still present in the house, which was fascinating.

The breakfast was beautiful - everything was homemade and the honey straight from the hive was an extra special touch. Nothing was too much trouble and we will most definitely be returning soon. We are returning to the normal routine of everyday feeling rested and restored. Thank you so much!
