We held a Heritage Open Day on Friday 13th September. It was a beautiful day and we had a fantastic group of visitors totake the tour.

Our thanks to HODs for putting us on their Anniversary Gallery and to Jim Scott for the amazing photography.

Here are some of the reviews:

'Cragend Farm was a real eye opener for us. An opportunity to view such a unique and rare preservation of what is a turning point in the history of agriculture. The advent of the impact of mechanisation on farming in general, by openminded thinking, is clearly demonstrated by what you are, the curators of a datum point from which modern animal husbandry has developed into what we have today.

We thank you not only for the tour but for caring for Cragend Farm.

Thank you so much for the way that you opened your home to us. We soon realised what a labour of love you and your family had undertaken, especially with the Silage Barn project, and marvelled at all the trials and tribulations you must have overcome.'

'Thank you Lou for an extremely interesting and informative tour. You are a friendly and enthusiastic guide. As owner of the property, you have overcome lots of challenges and collected a vast amount of relevant documents.
It is useful to access these on the web, for visitors who have completed a tour. Are you able to liaise with Cragside to recommend a visit to Cragend Farm.
It is a memorable and very worthwhile visit to book. I look forward to seeing the next phase of restoration and hope you are successful in completing future.'
