Cragend Farm Hydraulic Silo(s) 2010

As we reach the end of an amazing season of tours our thanks passes to Historic Houses for their continuing support, and we can report that we have had more people visit this year than ever before and that with The Heritage Open Day, Classic Car Club, CPRE, and Association of Industrial Archaeology, we managed to have more group tours visit as well.

This is a time to reflect on the work we have completed and what is still to do:

Phase 1 : New slate roof 2012

Phase 2 : New floors and doors 2019

Phase 3 : Clearance of the east bay - still in progress (2022-2025)

However, the building is looking better than ever and has risen from being a Building at Risk 'VERY POOR' to 'POOR' by Historic England.

Our conservation and repair work are definitely making a difference and the building is starting to earn its keep with the visitors who come and see inside its unique walls.

We would like ot take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has made this  possible and with one more date on 30th October we hope that we can offer even more next year.

We will re-open in May 2025 for another run of tours and tickets are already available to book through Historic Houses.
