Visit Northumberland

When you stay at Cragend Farm, you are based in the centre of a large county that has many areas  to visit to the north south east and west.

South is Hadrians Wall, Wallington and Housesteads.

West is Keilder Forest and the dark skies observatory, falconry and cycle and walking trails.

North you can take a trail to anywhere in the Borders within a 2 hour drive with Scotland and Edinburgh a days drive or train journey.

East is of course our beautiful coastline with castle and beaches galore, such as Bamburgh, Alnwick and Warkworth to name but a few.

As featured in the Robson Green North East Weekend Escapes  programme walking trails such as Cochrane Pike are a day trip with the knowledge that you are returning to a relaxing evening with a hot bath at Cragend Farm, at Cragend Grange and East and West Cottage.

About the author

We had the most amazing stay with Shaun and Lou in Rothbury. We highly recommend the farm for a stay in Northumberland. The breakfast was amazing, the location stunning and the hosts just lovely. They made our two children very welcome and they even got to feed the kid goat! Thank you so much.
