On Friday 28th February after several weeks of very bad weather and Storm Ciara coming through, we were hit by Storm Dennis which managed to tear our wooden Victorian barn to pieces.
The wind speeds were recorded in excess of 60 mph locally and this part of the Coquet Valley is very exposed.
We are devastated as the barn housed wood for our biomass boiler, farm items such as woolsacks and sawdust, occasional livestock and was in use daily.
Now begins the clear up process and deciding how to rebuild it. The back wall of it was part of a barrier for our top field and we will have to ly put a temporary stock fence up to keep our cows and sheep safe.
